Dibs

Terms of use

Last updated October 15, 2026

These terms cover the Dibs iPhone app and this website. By using Dibs, you agree to them.

The service

Dibs helps a group divide a bill and keep track of who paid. It's provided as is, without warranties of any kind. Features can change, and Dibs may sometimes be unavailable.

Payments are between friends

Dibs doesn't process payments, hold money, or check that a payment happened. Payments happen in Venmo, or however your group settles up. Dibs isn't responsible for the amounts friends send each other, or for mistakes in a receipt, a claim, or a split. Check the numbers before you pay.

Using Dibs fairly

  • Don't use Dibs for anything illegal, or to harass or impersonate anyone.
  • Share a dinner's link only with the people at that dinner. Anyone with the link can join, so don't post it publicly.
  • Don't guess or collect other dinners' links, or fill a dinner with fake guests.
  • Don't try to break, overload, or get around the limits of Dibs, including the receipt scan limits.
  • Only upload receipt photos you're allowed to share.

Removing content and accounts

We can remove dinners, content, or accounts that abuse the service or break these terms.

Privacy

The privacy policy explains what Dibs stores and how to delete it.

Changes

We may update these terms. When we do, the date at the top changes. Using Dibs after a change means you accept the new terms.
